Description of Duties/Essential Functions
Under general direction, plans, directs, and evaluates Team 2 of the Paternity Establishment and Clerk of Court Services program for the Division of Child Support Services (CSS); develops, gathers, and provides outreach materials; assists with carrying out the division's public relations plans; tracks regional paternity and other child support services; represents the division as a liaison with the community; plans and directs periodic staff meetings; travels to attend meetings; serves as a working supervisor.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration; requires two years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing; requires the ability to utilize computer applications using Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Requires ability to travel.
Specialized Skills: Of the two years required experience, requires experience in the provisions of State and Federal laws and policies as they relate to child support; requires experience in the paternity establishment process; requires experience in researching and resolving complex case and payment issues statewide with the State Disbursement Unit, Circuit Court Clerks, various state and local agencies and KIDS system.
Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential tax information.

Anticipated Starting Salary: $4,898 - $7,392 per month
